Hi! I´m Lau Rodriguez

I was born in Madrid – Spain. studied graphic design and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a specialization in painting, muralism, etching. All these disciplines have made her a multidisciplinary artist, working on any surface.

I´ve lived in Mexico, where I was working in a international technology startup, and at that moment I decided to return to more artisan work

I came back to Spain to dig out my brushes and pens and focus on mural painting and drawing

My work has been exhibited in Spain, United Kingdom, Belgium, Mexico, Italy, France, USA and United Arab Emirates.

I have a naive character that reflects a surreal world full of details that makes us stop to look. Your creations can be on multiple supports showing your creative world. Parallel worlds full of life and nature in which you are invaded by basic sensations that travel through your mind. A claim in a harmonious environment, so that the viewer stops to listen with their eyes, reconnects and be aware of nearby realities.

The elements that invade my works are usually animals that reflect our essence, our origin still without manipulating, surrounded by a natural environment of life.

 I’m continuing investigated with different techniques and materials on different surfaces. I’m becoming in the sculpture world and installations. The mural, is when I feel in contact with a living surface in which it is I who have to adapt and not cover, just intervene it; sharing with the people outside the studio, galleries or museums.

I give great importance to the surface, which I seek to be natural and with some personality. Each idea I thoroughly think about what format and technique will work in the context of its essence
